Schöner Morgen: Die Sonne ist zurück und der Regen hat sich über Nacht davongeschlichen. Trotzdem ist es nicht besonders warm – und damit für einen Stadtbummel genau das richtige Wetter.
Eine individuelle Stadtrundfahrt mit einer sehr erfahrenen Stadtführerin über fast drei Stunden begann wieder am Kant-Grab, von dem wir erfuhren, dass es gar keine sterblichen Überreste enthält. Ein zufällig des Weges kommender, alter und sehr kompetenter Herr räumte noch mit anderen Auffassungen auf: Kant sei kein Philosoph, sondern ein Wissenschaftler – und Geschichte niemals revanchistisch, höchstens schlägt sie in’s Negative, wenn sie politisch missbraucht wird.
Dann ging’s weiter durch die Stadt, an den verschiedenen historischen Stadttoren vorbei und mit Zwischenstops am Kant- sowie am Lenin-Denkmal.
Schnell war die Zeit um und nach einem kleinen Mittagsimbiss in einem usbekischem Restaurant fuhren wir mit einem Linienbus zum Südbahnhof, wo um halb Fünf der Bus zurück nach Nida abfuhr.
A beautiful morning: The sun is back and the rain is sneaked out over night. However, it is not warm, and so an ideal weather for a city stroll.
We hired an individual, very experienced guide for 3 hours and starts at the Kant grave, learning, that it does not contain any human remains. An old and knowledgable man, whom we met by chance, was changing a couple of opinions, too: Kant should not be seen as a philosopher, but as a scientist – and history can never be revanche-seeking, but turns into the negative, as soon as it is misused politically.
Then we went through the city, passing the historic gates and stopping at the Kant- and the Lenin-monument. Tour was quickly over, so after a quick visit to an usbek restaurant, we went to the southern train station, where we entered the bus back to Nida at 4.30pm.
